Paul J. Jones
Paul Jones is Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Harley-Davidson, Inc. Jones serves as a corporate officer and as a member of Harley-Davidson’s leadership team. In his role as Vice President he manages the company’s central functions of strategic planning, portfolio and project management, competitive intelligence and analytics, business process excellence, continuous improvement and corporate sustainability. As Chief Legal Officer, he manages the company’s legal department and oversees all legal matters for the company as well as the company’s product integrity and public policy/government affairs functions. He also serves as the company’s chief ethics and compliance officer and as corporate secretary for the company’s board of directors.
Jones serves as an industry representative on the U.S. Industry Trade Advisory Committee on Consumer Goods (ITAC 4), a joint appointment by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative and as president of the International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association in Geneva, Switzerland. He is also a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Manufacturers and the U.S. Motorcycle Manufacturers Association. He serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and Near West Side Partners, Inc., a neighborhood revitalization effort led by the anchor institutions located in the near west side of Milwaukee.
Prior to joining Harley-Davidson, Jones served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Regal Beloit Corporation. He also served as a judicial law clerk for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and as a policy analyst for the Wisconsin State Assembly.
He earned an MBA from Northwestern University, his law degree from Georgetown University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater.
